The Right Entrepreneurial Spirit
Abstracts of the inaugural speech by
The Hon. Dr Eddie Fenech Adami B.A., LL.D., M.P.
Prime Minister of Malta

"I am confident that with
people like Emanuel Peresso around us, we will all achieve our objectives."

This company has grown from its beginning in 1934, I am pleased to hear that Michele Peresso Ltd now gives employment to over 40 people. A small marketing firm or rather what was a small marketing firm has grown now into an enterprise in Maltese terms is providing significant employment to our people.

It is a story of success, of merited success, because of the initiative that Mr Emanuel Peresso particularly has been building over the years. I wish him well, he has shown the right entrepreneurial spirit. I think Emanuel Peresso has had the vision to see that if he wants to contribute not just for his own success, neither for his ambition but to render a service to the Maltese community, to contribute by providing good opportunities for us all to move forward.

I congratulate Emanuel Peresso together with all the staff for the courage he has shown in setting up this enterprise, this building, again seeing the need that the country has to move forward and we note that all things are part of this quality leap which is a must. I am confident that with persons around us like Emanuel Peresso we will all achieve our objectives.

I am indeed pleased that I am here inaugurating this very functional building, because I strongly feel that this in fact represents the trend of Malta today.

I have known quite a lot about the company and the family, and I know how hard working they all have been following the footsteps of their father who started the business in 1934 as a printing press.

I am sure that the inauguration of this very beautiful building is a proof that indeed Emanuel Peresso and all the team around him have shown initiative, have shown entrepreneurship and are exactly going the way we want Malta to go. The building is indeed another indication of the quality leap that this country is doing.

Malta has no natural resources that we can talk of and we must depend on our human resources to the best of our abilities and I think Michele Peresso Ltd has shown us what can be achieved through using human resources and the best of human resources to achieve specific objectives.
